Tender legs and tottered steps, but the guidance was strong 

'From knees to feet' , the style was changed 

Curiosity counted every feet, but none was wrong 

Many slips and a few flips, but into the cushion hands that saved 

With cricket and soccer, the legs raced, but always in pairs, 

The legs fatigued, never did sports and spirits 

Floods of bloods, a plethora of wounds but with hearts to bear 

Falls were many, but never alone, in all grounds and streets 

Cushions and grounds, not any more, it's now a chemical folklore 

Biology and math are singulars, a revelation doth 

Attendances and grades meant chants and hades, excuses galore 

As a group but with tons of memories we part

We walked the ice and the grass,  both green and white,

2. Ahead of the stars:

Air and water for the body, books and internet for the mind, Dreams and tranquility for the soul.

Destiny for dreams and ethics for path.

In a series of crests and troughs, there are always some slots alloted for letups. These are actually more entertaining than either the crests or troughs. In a clash of interests, the November and December railway stations changed the track from the carnatic to the sufi world. 

Mysticism has always amazed me. Any form of mysticism and occult can make me stand agape.

Its now the Sufi turn. On the way to the Sufi destination, I bumped in to something that made me take a diversion and that is Urdu qawwalis and poetry.

This particular piece is worth sharing here...This piece of poetry is amazing and wonderfully inspiring and it comes from Allama Iqbal. The great man who we know in India for the Song, Saare Jahaan se achcha. I was sifting the sands of sufi when I came across this beautiful poetry in the form of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's rendition and later another anonymous poetic rendition. It was so inspiring, that I have tried putting it up here, pardon my knowledge of hindi. Feel free to correct any faults in the script or in the meaning.

Dishoom..dishoom… does that keep echoing?

Of course, it should.  All the woods in the sub continent use the same decibels to show any sequences of disagreement resulting in physical clash between the antagonists in the movie…..in simple words, fight sequences in Indian movies…. Not any more in post Vijayakanth and Balaiyya period movies (their eye movements are enough to terrify the villains, no more fights and the best thing is everyone else is also learning and adapting themselves to such novel techs). But that sound just makes me more nostalgic.

This is the sound that used to come when the good guy and the bad guy beat the crap out of each other. The fight could be for money, land, family, pride but most of the time it is driven by estrogen and testostrene .

The punches in the movies are umpteen right from the very early days i.e., from the days of Harischandra and Alam Aara. I honor punches as the most pristine creativity of human mind. With the advent of new technologies and styles, more and more of these ingenious “dishooms” were replaced by “Punch dialogues”, each one of which is worth more, each one weighs more than many physical punches. These don’t hurt the villain any more, but you know who gets affected eventually…. 

This post is purely out of nostalgia, a tribute to TR… (But I shall try to be meaningful as far as possible...).

Confluence of the Star Power: M1

 “On a long enough time scale….”well, it does not work that way. PhD does not need a long time either. It also went that a-way now. But, for the sake of preserving science (pardon me, an engineer now) and for the rhetoric, giving the dashing first lines of the not so great follow-ups, let us once again consider Tyler Durden, “on a long enough time scale, everyone’s survival rate drops to zero”. Well, this is absolutely logical and hence true. Applying the same logic and playing with continuum of experience in which events pass from the past through present to future, simply called as tampering with time concepts, it was found that some of the impossible explanations could be worked upon with precision and accuracy and finally not ending in anything worth mentioning because time travel in reality is still bull shit.

The lulls continued to the extent that I pulled in some guests who wanted to continue to their discussion in here and contribute to the Drops of the Blue Arrow. These guests need no introduction. Each one has established a style in their field and is a maven.

Spicy Combinatorial of flaccid cheeks at sea

The antonym of mercury rising is not approaching very fast even in the stymied state of Ohio or I can even say, the stymied state of Akron in every sense. But stoicism does not and cannot differentiate between a blessing and a curse; not even when under the premises of handicappedness. Wait, this is the closest English word that delivers what I need to deliver and also sounds more technical!!

What has followed the slump?

The question can easily be answered even by the two headed trolls from Scandinavia. It is of course another big period of uncertainty full of hollow promises showcasing doubtful future and rendezvous with oscillating SAFETY BEACONS ;).

Years of coupling of the split-pot states and appeasing the low interest communist credit card state seems to be taking a new change. Three days in India and then …then ….it is Indonesia; there is no mention of Pakistan in the itinerary. This is probably one of the major signals of a change of strategy, or at least, a message that has the meaning, “Patience has limits”. The inability to tackle house bred global violence from Pakistan is starting to show its effect in the open now, again stressing the view that “Patience has limits”. President Obama has completed his three day tour in India and is on his way to the G20 summit in South Korea. Pakistan did not make it to the itinerary. A tour to India by any US leader in the recent past has always meant that Pakistan was in the picture too.  

I have always believed that President Obama is different at least a bit if not by leaps and bounds. I am a big fan of the orator in him although I lack the ability to comment on the politics involved. This new message is audible.  But I wish that the Indian counterparts understood the seriousness of the message delivered. It cannot be a straighter message in the global politics. Common India, make hay while the sun shines.

The wal-mart credit card dragon is also not due a visit now. Fareed Zakharia says that it’s because of the Chinese attitude towards Japan. The Senkaku island issue is fresh and is gaining momentum between the nation states and every Asian state is looking up to United States as a counter balance for China.

Although, President Obama has the record for number of meetings with the dragon counterparts, he seems to be listening to the voices of the weaker sections of the nation states and that is another reason he is climbing up the ladder at least in my favorites. Looking forward to the G20:It’s only a matter of time when we will be able to witness either the trend reversal or the trend setter.

With a homing missile, there is the usual story now, “He has looted India more than the British”. A fancy number, Rs. 1,76,379 Crores, and a statement , “People power can alone save the nation” and the talk of the nation is A. Raja, Union telecommunications minister. Politics, not just in India, but world throughout is synonymous with corruption. In India, add one more C, coalition also. The difference between the guys who get exposed and who don’t is their experience and lack of diplomacy. The more experienced and the more diplomats go through this game unscathed while the less experienced are victimized. After getting soaked for so long in this kind of game, I don’t think it is worthwhile to play petty games with politics. The government should probably legalize corruption. At least we can reduce the hullaballoo and the raucous caused due to these petty things. Instead, every authority should be measured on the quality and quantity of service that was oriented towards the betterment of the society. This is the age old strategy of cornering a mouse giving it whatever it wants. It will be too lazy to run around making it easier for the victim.  A cornered mouse never fights. I know, the antagonists are never going to accept this strategy and there will be concerns regarding the mental state when this was written. But, I bet, this is the only solution if at all every concerned individual or society is looking to solve the problem of corruption. 

The most intriguing quote is the “I want to live in peace”. Zulqarnain Haider has fled to London. Isn’t that a shame to PCB and the whole cricketing world? Instead, PCB has suspended his contract. Well, no superstitions in the cricketing world but he was born on April 23^rd!! But this issue has stolen the limelight from the cracking performance of Oberoi as Ravi in Rakhta Charitra. The first part has me long for the part 2 to see surya in action.

The story of Ravi was a good one to be made as a movie.  This is not the first movie made out of factionism. Even then, my own readings and listening to friends who all have seen the situations right, I can appreciate RGV for showing Ravi as an extremely positive character. Well, that’s how movies work. But, the movie had everything in it along with real violence.

If Ravi was perceived as a hero by some section of people, I give him the credit and honor. He had the ability to affect masses and I stand by my words for whoever is like that. We worship heroes as divine beings, as prophets, as poets, as priests, as kings, as fighters and what not.  Now we have heroes are movie stars and in this timeline, now means movies are larger than life.  More importance is given to virtual reality rather than the reality itself and it is due to the fact that people cannot accept reality because reality hurts but virtual reality does not and everybody wants a painless life.

But, pain is what spices up life. Otherwise life is nothing but feta cheese from Zeus.  Columbus, Vasco da Gama and others went around the world looking for spices and not spaces to build empires.

Everybody wishes to live in their dreams rather than living it for real. Will the situations be approached with even-mindedness rather than prejudice? This is exactly what the Wachowski brothers tried to show in their beautiful creation in which Reeves did the One.

What to do and what not has always been the eternal beauty of the deterministic nature of this chaos based world.

With thousands of permutations and innumerous combinations that are available to every single individual, it’s the choices we make that defines us not what we want or what we talk or think. 

It’s a topsy-turvy situation that requires a bottoms-up approach in which the combinatorials are subjected to the large amount of entropy that results in the maximum Brownian motion.

The combinatorial is pretty simple without incorporating our dreams in to real life and adopting what the life has to offer. 

A Smirker who adds spice to the combinatorial and looks at the flaccid cheeks at sea is not lost but still at large with all commitment, passion and perseverance intact. 

Eigen states and Nation states

Going down the memory lane, a few days, weeks, months, years and behold, I can even say decades! , I am that old now! , the search for my very own quantum eigenvalues seems to be deep and still going deeper. The rabbit hole is deep. Grade points ran over my mind when in my first year undergrad my ultra genius math teacher was trying to solve  matrix eigen values and amazement clouded my mind when I witnessed Toby Macguire as Spiderman spontaneously spurt out eigen states of electronic levels as 1,2 and 3.

And then out of nowhere, the quantum zeno effect made me go back, look up on the practical values of these so far abstract ideas. I wonder why there are always so many complex terms for one simple idea.  

These eigen states swing back and forth and that is why history still affects us.  A quick extrapolation of the patterns of eigen values can take us Back to the Future. Rolling back and running forth, I always see among many other things, the Hanna Barbara – Fred Quimby creation, The Tom and Jerry stuff. That is the virtual extension of the quantum zeno effect. That is probably the arrow whose mass does not change. The ingenious cat-mouse rivalry was not just a cartoon for me as a kid but it was the greatest source of entertainment in the days when there was no cricket on TV or when it was raining outside the house.

Running forth, I see that even if that kind of rivalry is by birth yet it gets manipulated when there is a common enemy to fight, Spike or the rivalry is bent on manipulating spike. I am starting to have doubts whether, cats, mice and dogs have such abilities. However, this is the essence on which human brain works. This is exactly the way the nation states are being run today.

The recent comments by British Prime Minister David Cameron and US Sec. of State Hillary Clinton have sparked enough fire and strained their relationships with Pakistan. The double game played by Pakistan on the Afghan Taliban front is slowly being spelt by the so called strong allies of Pakistan.

With one hand, Pakistan has been receiving billions of dollars from the US for fighting the Taliban while with the other hand; it has been protecting the Al-Qaeda leaders.  However, the real motives of the nation as a whole are not clearly evident: Is it for placating/ satisfying all sides or the indecisiveness on which side to choose and stay. For a nation so big and running high on a stubborn stand against India, these cannot be true. That leaves us only with one option: The Double Game.  With the recent comments from its close and strong western allies and the hue and cry from the Taliban about how their trusty neighbors are playing double game with them, it is not really far when everyone will be able to see the snake under cow skin.

After all this, what matters is what you choose to see and what you do when find out the reality. Ignoring the imminent reality only makes the future real worse. 

The experts in playing the double game don’t go a long way because that is a very short phenomenon.  There is no eigen value because, not only the magnitude but the direction of the vector also changes. Only as long as they can run their truck on the back of their innocent and naïve allies, the double gamers can continue to cherish and only as long as the pain does not start to show its effect or as long as the allies choose to ignore the nature of the double game. The already unsteady nation of Afghanistan and the powerful countries like the US and UK could affect the weak nation in any way they want because the former has nothing to lose and the later are too strong to lose anything.

India however has its own share of troubles with each political party playing the cat and mouse game to get the vote banks.  A, B, C are the central parties and D, E, F are regional parties. Each central party chooses a regional ally. However, A and B are allies in one state and arch rivals in the next. The parties are running very low in ideals. Opportunism, nepotism, manipulation are running high. 

There are plenty of ways the double gamers play it in India because they have lots of host reasons to cling and multiply: Languages, cultures, castes, resources, religions, poverty, education, loads of superstition, a lot of innocence and guilelessness and what not.

The only big common factor in India is Hinduism. But this is vast and anything that does not come under the premise of any organized religion falls under Hinduism. The wingers of Hinduism forget the beauty of the religion as a whole and try to thrust it on others when they themselves cannot make out what the religion and its tenets stand for. To be very practical, it became a religion in the very recent past and religion is a misnomer. It is just a way of living. 

Every religion I come across is just too beautiful. All these religions amaze me. The time and situation at which these religions emerged and the shape they have taken now, the metamorphosis that they have gone through just shakes my mind.  The beautiful minds behind these religions are a constant source of admiration and inspiration for me.  We should appreciate the religions because I strongly believe that they are results of the creative energy and brilliance of human minds.  They should be preserved in museums and the concoction must be studied and then later put to practice after the removal of rogue elements which are the results of time.

Shankara’s philosophy to explain Mahendra seems to make sense now for me but I do not know for how long. But Mahendra’s captaincy doesn’t seem to get any better result for the most inconsistent cricket team. A loss by 200 and their counterparts loosing in a similar way against England doesn’t come as a surprise. When God does not play for the nation, the nation sinks. But for how long can he play?

The quote I enjoyed recently, “Reducing the number of atheists in India since 1989: Sachin Tendulkar”. This guy will replace the “Arrow” as the explanation for the quantum zeno effect, over a long enough period on a macroscopic level………..hmmmmmmm…….
